TS TET Eligibility and Exam Pattern

CTET Exam Eligibility Criteria

Age Criteria- The minimum age required for candidate to apply for CTET exam is 18 years of age. Relaxation will be given to reserved categories as per the government norms.

Candidate need to meet the eligibility criteria as given below so as to appear in the CTET 2021 examination. Candidate must match at least one eligibility criteria out of all given points in each section to consider eligible.

For Ist to Vth Class

  1. Candidate must have completed class 12thexam with minimum 50% marks or cleared final year diploma in Elementary Education.
  2. Must have scored minimum 50% marks in Class 12th or passed final year in diploma of elementary education as per the NCTE Regulations 2002.
  3. Scored at least 50% marks in Class 12th and appearing or appeared for graduate degree course.
  4. Scored at least 50% marks in 12th class and cleared or appear in final year exam of diploma of education.
  5. Bachelor’s Degree and cleared/appearing in final year of elementary education.

For VIth to VIIIth Class

  1. Candidate must possess graduation degree and passed or appearing in final year exam of diploma elementary education
  2. Completed graduation degree with min 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of diploma of education
  3. Passed graduation with min 40% marks and passing or appearing in final exam of diploma of education according to NCTE education
  4. Passed 12th class with min 50% marks and cleared or appearing in final year exam of A.Ed/B.sc.Ed/B.A.Ed

CTET 2021 Exam Pattern

  • The exam will consists of objective type multiple choice questions.
  • There will be two kinds of papers. Paper 1 is for Primary Level Teacher while Paper 2 is for Junior Level Upper Primary School Teacher.
  • Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be held on same date. Paper 1 will held from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM for I to V class and Paper 2 will be held on 02:00 PM to 04:30 PM for VI to VIII class
  • The total time duration for each paper will be 2.30 hours.

BTET Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit – For Male – 35 years (General/ Other States)

For Females – 38 years (General/ Other States)

Educational Qualification – Candidates must meet the qualification requirements in order to apply for the exam. Below given are minimum educational qualifications for primary and junior level.

Primary Level – The candidate must have passed Intermediate exam with minimum 50% marks with Bachelor in Elementary Education final year or Intermediate exam with minimum 45% marks and 2 years of Diploma in Elementary Education or Intermediate exam with 50% marks and 4 years of Diploma in Elementary Education or Intermediate exam with 50 % and BTC/SPBTC Exam.

Junior Level – The candidate must have bachelor’s degree BS/B.Sc with two years Diploma in Elementary Education or Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with B.Ed or one year in B.Ed with minimum 45% marks as per NCTE norms.

UPTET Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must complete their graduation with minimum 50% marks from any recognized university.
  • For primary teacher: Applicants must have completed 2 years Diploma in (D.Ed.) or BTC or 4 years diploma in elementary education.
  • For upper primary teacher: Applicant must possess 1 year course in B.EL.ED/ BTC or 2 years course of BTC/CT (Nur)/ NTT

Selection Process: The selection of candidates will be based on the score achieved by candidate in written examination.
